I attended the December 4th ART 430 Capstone I: Creative Practices in Art Gallery Walk! in the Boyden Gallery and Upper Commons, Montgomery Hall. Within this gallery walk was a lot of student work and student inspired work as well. I found interesting how the students that I share a campus with are so inspired to put either their own body or ideas out there for the public to see! Throughout this gallery walk not much was discussed, but as I was walking around I did see some artist relate to my interests in art and what I want to pursue further. In particular, the artist Anindita "Chloe" Gupta and her artwork "Water and Light, 2023" caught my eye as this artist shows Illusions and a multitude of different ways to view a piece of art! I can relate to this because I always see the world In different angles and perspectives. And with her putting a view of the world or life in a water droplet and allowing the us to see it; it reminds me how small the world really is and it brings me back to my senses allowing me to see the small things about life and not always the large things!. This is what I strive to do In my own art work, I always try to allow my viewers to see my artwork from different perspectives so then they can take what they saw from me and apply that to the real world. Overall this was a very nice Gallery walk to attend. I do indeed recommend this even if you don't enjoy art because you might see something that you can really relate to. And in all honesty I do feel like that's how artist are made!
