After attending the recent life drawing session on November 19th, 2025 I ended up realizing a lot when it came to drawing real life figures (people) within a specific amount of time. During this event we had a student model (Indigo) act out a series of different time sensitive poses. We started with five 30 second poses then went to three 1 minute poses and then two 5 minute poses. They all ranged from her standing, sitting down and laying down. Sometimes even with props such as stools and covers. One big thing that I learned from this is that drawing a real life person is not easy and takes heavy precision to do so especially when you have a set time limit to work off of. I also learned that it's ok to be messy. Sometimes being messy helps bring out the emotion and evolution of what you’re creating. Overall I thought this was a very interesting experience as it helped me slowly realize that making mistakes is also something that will be beneficial to you in the long run.
