One of my all time favorite characters is Rick from Rick and Morty. To sum it up, Rick wants ultimate freedom, freedom from rules, expectations and the limits of the universe itself. This desire fuels his constant invention, interdimensional travel, and often reckless behavior. Which I personally love! His pursuit of knowledge and even power pushes the storyline forward, whether he’s dragging Morty on dangerous adventures across planets or confronting powerful enemies. But after binge watching every single show I slowly started to realize that underneath his brilliance, his want for freedom often masks loneliness and a fear of emotional vulnerability, making him both complex and tragic throughout this vast storyline.

Rick’s character traits are expressed physically through his movement and body language by stumbling with a drunken swagger, slouching with any disinterest he comes across, waving his hands in erratic gestures when explaining his genius ideas, and even burping for disruption purposes only. All of this shows that he has a chaotic mindset wherever he goes.
