Materials
With this new project on Object Animation, I have chosen to use Lego characters and other Lego Items as well. I've always wanted to do something that is Lego related as it has been a big part of my life.
Equipment List
My original Idea was to just have a white background, but I have thought more on this, and I would like to adapt a black background instead as I feel like it will complement the Legos very well and bring out their details as well. I was also thinking of using a flashlight or a lamp of some sort to replicate a spotlight. I feel like this will bring attention to what will happen next in my animation or what is supposed to be focused on at that moment. I also intend to use the cameras that are provided to us and a phone as well for extra back up if more depth is needed.
Location
I have not pinpointed an exact location yet but some ideas that I do have is somewhere that has steady still light or a place that brings out a shadow behind a Lego character.
What is in the frame how does it move?
within this frame will be a criminal Lego Character and a Cop Lego Character I wanted this to be a cops vs robbers type animation so I will essentially make the criminal rob something and have the cop take the criminal down. I was also thinking of adding elements of a chase, but this might be out of my league.
How do the elements in the frame interact?
As the criminal is attempting to steal a cop will notice and try and take down the criminal. Within this process I will try and make the cop go through a rapid number of obstacles hindering him from capturing the criminal. Each obstacle I will try and make the cop interact with it by either jumping, ducking, or crawling. Although this may be out of my league.
Where is your camera in the scene? Is the camera close or far away?
My camera will be in a mid to close shot to get good angles on a potential chase, this may change depending on the change of narrative. I feel like with this it will draw more attention on what is happening at that moment and not to what is going on in the background.
